Ahlstrom-Munksjö enters the digital printing market – Nonwovens Industry Magazine

Ahlstrom-Munksjö has launched WallStar Digital, its new portfolio of fiber-based solutions for digital printing applications, in North America.

The demand for personalized digital printing is growing, driven by changing consumer demand, where personalization is extremely important. Digitally printed wallcoverings can be used to quickly change a room, while adding impact through the use of custom designs. Environmental aspects are also of great importance, as North American consumers are becoming more aware of sustainability and the type of materials they want to use. Therefore, digital printers are looking for PVC-free substrates that allow printing in small, unique and personalized quantities.

WallStar Digital is a direct-to-print, PVC-free non-woven portfolio from Ahlstrom-Munksjö, offering benefits for both printers and end-users. For printers, the range offers media with high dimensional stability and excellent printability. The media is fully compatible with Latex, UV and laserjet printers. For end users, the mount is PVC-free, has a luxurious feel, and is simple to install and remove. Facilitate change and use of new designs.
