Malachi 1:6-7, “A son honors his father, and a servant his master: if then I am a father, where is my honor? And if I’m a master, where is my fear? Says the Lord of hosts to you, O priests who despise my name. And you say: in what have we despised your name? 7: You offer defiled bread on my altar, and you say: How have we defiled you? In what you say, the table of the Lord is contemptible.
The purpose of the creation of man is that he should worship and render faithful service to God. God is always interested in the human beings he created for his own pleasure. He protects and provides for human beings, in addition to ensuring that nothing, directly or indirectly, brings them to shame because of his name.
God stands up to defend and protect his children whenever they are afflicted with sickness or attacked by their enemies. The Israelites were enslaved and used for forced labor, while in Egypt and when they cried out to God, He arose and fought for their freedom. He delivered the Israelites from bondage in Egypt.
Exodus 14:1-5 tells how God fought for them. “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2: Say unto the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, opposite Baal-Zephon: before him you will encamp by the sea. 3: For Pharaoh shall say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness has shut them up. 4: And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, that he may pursue them; and I will be honored over Pharaoh and over all his army; let the Egyptians know that I am the Lord. And they did. 5: And it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled. The heart of Pharaoh and his servants turned against the people, and they said, Why have we done this, that we have let Israel cease to serve us? ”
God used the Egyptians to show His powers. By totally destroying the Egyptians, God glorified himself. The Egyptians drowned in the Red Sea. In Exodus 14:13-14: the Bible says, “And Moses said unto the people, Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show you today: for the Egyptians whom you have seen day, you will not see them again forever. 14: The Lord will fight for you, and you will stand still.
God commanded Moses to stretch out his rod towards the Red Sea and it split in two and the Israelites crossed to the other side. Pharaoh and his soldiers followed the Israelites and they perished when the sea came together again. God gloried in victory over Pharaoh and his soldiers.
Again, in Isaiah 44:24-27, the Bible says, “Thus says the Lord, your redeemer, who formed you from your mother’s womb, I am the Lord who created all things; who extends the heavens alone; who extends the earth by myself. 25: It frustrates the signs of liars and drives seers mad; which makes the wise recoil and makes their knowledge senseless. 26: Who confirms the word of his servant, and executes the counsel of his messengers; who says in Jerusalem, you will be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah you will be built up, and I will raise up their ruined places.
The power belongs to God and to demonstrate it, He executes with ease all that He foresees. God showed his powers to man to honor and glorify him. When God arises in our lives, our afflictions, sicknesses, or sicknesses will flee from us. When His powers come close to us, the attacks of the devil’s realm will not harm us.
In Exodus 19:4-5, the Bible says, “You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I carried you on eagle’s wings and brought you back to me. 5: Now then, if you truly obey my voice and keep my covenant, then you will be a special treasure to me above all people, for the whole earth is mine.
As the Israelites were successfully delivered from slavery in Egypt, the death of our Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary reconciled man to God. This reconciliation must allow God’s plan and purpose to be accomplished in the life of each man. We must therefore obey God’s words to allow him to have his way in our lives and for his purpose to be accomplished as well.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has come to reclaim the lost kingdom. He worked to ensure that his mission was a success. John 4:34-35 says, “Jesus said unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35: Do you not say: There are still four months, and then comes the harvest? Behold, I say unto you, lift up your eyes, and look upon the fields; for they are already white to be harvested.
Jesus Christ said: “His food is to work for God and to finish the work. He left us a legacy to follow. We should at all times work to save every perishing soul. It is unfortunate that many people are not interested in the work of God. Many don’t even serve God. Pharaoh of Egypt said he did not know God and would not obey his words to free the Israelites. Many today are like Pharaoh. They do not obey the word of God rather they resort to opposing the gospel and the men of God. This is why God laments in the main scripture, asking where His honor comes from if He is our Father. God is our creator and without him we can do nothing. In John 19:30, the Bible says, “When Jesus had therefore received the vinegar, he said that it was finished; and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.” The salient idea of this scripture is, it’s over, which is the cry of victory.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has successfully accomplished the purpose of his coming. He came for the reconciliation of man with God. After Adam and Eve lost the kingdom, God moved away from man. But Jesus Christ came to reconcile man to God and lay a solid foundation for the salvation of the world. He established the Church, an outpost for the recovery of the lost kingdom through the preaching of the gospel and for returning the lost soul to the kingdom of God.
After the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and his subsequent resurrection, God glorified him by giving him all powers in heaven and on earth and that at the mention of the name of Jesus Christ, every knee must bow down and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. After giving a perfect example to his disciples, we must follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ to honor God, so that God in turn may be exalted and glorified in our lives.
As children of God, we must continually speak the word of reconciliation in due season to perishing souls. The second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is near, but no one knows the day and hour that it will come. We must be prepared and preach the word at all times.
Testimony of the action of the Lord
No one can curse the one whom the Lord has blessed
My name is Sister Amara Okafor. I reside at No. 16 Nwachukwu Street, Ago-palace Way Okota, Lagos. I thank God for his divine protection of my family and me. Before I started my business in 2016, I met a woman who taught me the ropes, but then we parted ways after a few years of a close relationship. We broke up when the woman saw how I was progressing and developed envy and hatred towards me. She started saying bad things about me and also ganged up with other traders to humiliate me. She even went so far as to ask customers to avoid my wares.
However, I reminded her that I am a member of the charismatic revival movement chosen by the Lord and that she cannot fight me. When envy and hatred were too much for me to bear, I prayed to God to strip her of everything that makes her boast to me. God did it and the company that provided her with her property miraculously transferred her property to me and that weakened her.
Also, during the time when the crisis between us was hard, I was told that she put a curse on me, but to the glory of God, the curse had no effect on me. Seeing the goodness of God in my life, the woman who was my sworn enemy gave her life to Christ. She and the owner of the business that supplies me with goods are now members of the charismatic revival movement chosen by the Lord. Praise the Lord!
Second, I am traveling to Italy to bring goods, but I last traveled in 2019. However, in February 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, I told the company that I would not couldn’t come because of the pandemic and lockdown. The company understood the situation and sent me goods. But in October 2020 I called the company and placed further orders with the intention of traveling to Italy in December and January 2021 to bring the goods to Nigeria. While I was planning, the devil was also planning. Having paid the company the expected amount without hearing about it, I demanded to know why I hadn’t heard from them, but instead of getting positive responses, I started hearing stories of rooster and bull. With this, I came to church during February fasting and prayers and laid the case before God.
After the prayers, I called the agent who stood between the company and me. I did this to the point that the agent blocked my line; he felt that I was getting on his nerves. The wait lasted from January to June when the company loaded my container. Thinking the challenges were over, the shipping company had some trouble and my container was delayed in getting to me.
That’s when I met Pastor and he prayed and the Lord intervened a month after the prayers, the container landed in Nigeria; it is now in my warehouse. I give all the glory to God; may his name be glorified forever in the name of Jesus.
