Prof. Quddoos Javaid and others publish the Urdu literary magazine “Zubaan-o-Bayaan” in Jammu on Saturday.

JAMMU, June 11: In a program jointly organized by Tehreek-e-Baqaa-e-Urdu and ZJ Educational and Cultural Trust Jammu, an Urdu literary magazine was published here today under the editorship of Balraj Bakshi, eminent poet and writer urdu.
The function was chaired by the former Head of Urdu Department at Central University of Kashmir, Prof. Quddoos Javaid.
In his presidential address, Prof. Javaid said that although Jammu has always had a rich tradition of Urdu poets and writers, including Lala Manohar Lal Dil, Aabid Manawari, Maikash Kashmiri, Vidya Rattan Aasi and Balraj Bakshi, no one never thought of bringing out a literary magazine from Jammu.
Congratulating Balraj Bakshi in absentia, Prof. Javaid regretted that Bakshi could not participate due to his chronic kidney disease.
The very famous Punjabi fiction writer Khalid Hussain who was the main guest said he has full confidence in the editorial abilities of Balraj Bakshi who will surely lead the magazine to fame and glory.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Deputy Secretary of the Cultural Academy, expressed hope that the quarterly Urdu magazine ‘Zubaan-o-Bayaan’ would be the first of its kind in Jammu and it was a real pleasure to see Balraj Bakshi leading the magazines to new heights.
Professor Irfan Aarif presented a vote of thanks on behalf of Tehreek-e-Baqa-e-Urdu.
